Kia has revealed some interior sketches of its upcoming small SUV, expected to be fully revealed sometime next month. The new SUV in question appears to be the production version of the SP Concept that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The premium looking dashboard has a metallic accent on the air vents that extends into the push button. Another metal accent connects the air conditioning control panel and the centre console, creating an effect of a driver-focused layout.
Feature list will include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, and something called Sound Mood Lighting technology. Also notice a rotary knob on the centre console, most likely to control the infotainment system.
“We have focused on designing a cabin unlike any other in the small SUV segment, with a greater sense of depth and richness to the design. Our newest model will offer greater pleasure and satisfaction to our customers, with a premium-quality interior that benefits from sophisticated design details,” said Byung Chul Juh, Head of Styling at Kia Motors.
Kia said that the brand’s first global small SUV will go on sale in Korea in the second half of 2019, with sales in other regions to follow soon after.
