Although the V12s continue to exist for some more years, it’s a dying breed, sadly. Which is why the Mercedes-AMG S 65 Final Edition is here to join the garages of collectors and fans of the greatest 12-cylinder engines.
The special edition comes exclusively in a high-gloss obsidian black paint finish, 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, matt bronze accents and AMG emblem on the C-pillar. Tailpipe trims in high-gloss black round off the exterior treatment.
The mostly-black interiors get an exclusive black nappa leather upholstery with copper-coloured contrast stitching, and trim elements in carbon fibre streaked with fine copper-coloured threads. The floor mats also feature copper-coloured contrast stitching. The centre console features 1 of 130 edition badge (yes, only 130 units).
The list of standard equipment includes Magic Sky Control panoramic roof, First Class rear suite with individual seats and extended-length business console including temperature-controlled cup holders, Executive seat on the front passenger side with a leg rest and backrest adjustment, and AMG Driver’s package that allows a top speed of 300 km/h.
Buyers will also receive a tailor-made AMG car cover with the lettering “AMG S 65 FINAL EDITION” in a colour match to the edition.
The 6.0-litre V12 biturbo produces the same 463 kW (630 hp) and a peak torque of 1000 Nm at 2,300-4,300 rpm. However, the engine fitter’s badge (“One Man – One Engine”) comes in a special design and is finished in an exclusive black instead of silver.
