Hyundai India has achieved their highest ever domestic sales milestone of 52,001 units in October 2018 compared to 49,588 units of the same period last year, registering a growth of 4.9%.
Apparently, the much-hyped new Santro has received over 28,800 bookings and more than 1,29,500 enquiries within 22 days. While the car was launched on October 23, bookings began online on October 10th.
Vikas Jain, National Sales Head – HMIL, said – “Hyundai achieved highest ever domestic sales with 52,001 units and a growth of 4.9%, on the strong demand pull created by the blockbuster launch of India’s favourite family car – the all new Santro, improving customers sentiments and setting new benchmark in the industry. The all new Santro clocked wholesale of over 8500 units along with strong performance of the Hyundai ‘Ten Thousand Club Cars’ Creta, Elite i20 and Grand i10.”
The company’s exports stood at 13,019 units in October 2018 as compared to 12,551 units in October 2017, registering a growth of 3.7%. With that, Hyundai India registered a cumulative growth of 4.6%.
