Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) sold a total of 164,369 units in July 2018, which includes 154,150 units in the domestic market and 10,219 units of exports. Compared to July 2017 sales of 165,346 units, the company registered a sales decline of 0.6%.
As we can see in the table above, the ‘Mini’ category which has Alto and Wagon R registered a negative 10.9% while the mid-size Ciaz sales dropped by a massive 99.2%. The ‘Compact’ segment which has Swift and Baleno registered a positive 17.8% growth. The ‘Utility Vehicle’ segment which has Ertiga, S-Cross and Brezza, also saw a decline in sales.
In the LCV category, the company sold 1,723 units of SuperCarry, registering a growth of 145.1%. The total export sales too dropped by 9.9%.
