The 2018 Jazz in India is not the facelift that went on sale in Japan and Thailand last year, but rather some minor upgrades. Speaking of which, the car gets chrome door handles, new LED taillights and two new exterior colors – Radiant Red Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic.
The Premium Beige interiors include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, rear camera display, push-button start/stop, Cruise Control, Auto AC and front armrest. Honda says that the NVH performance has been improved.
Safety features include dual front airbags (standard), ABS with EBD (standard), driver seatbelt reminder and rear windshield defogger. Rear parking sensors and speed sensing auto door lock are the new additions.
Powertrains
The Jazz continues to be powered by a 90 hp 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT, and 100 hp 1.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director, Sales & Marketing, HCIL, said – “In line with changing customer preferences in favour of automatics, the Jazz 2018 is now being offered with advanced CVT technology across the petrol range to cater to larger number of customers opting for automatic transmission cars for an absolutely comfortable and engaging drive.”
