Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has launched the updated Creta with prices starting at Rs 9.44 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Variant wise ex-showroom prices below –

Exterior features include Bi-functional projector headlamps with LED DRLs & positioning lamps, dual tone front & rear bumpers, front & rear skid plates, split tail lamps, side body cladding, shark fin antenna, glossy A pillar and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
As for the design, i personally think the Creta facelift launched in China looks much better.
Features inside include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, 6-way power driver seats, cruise control, Auto AC with cluster ionizer, sliding front armrest, driver seat height adjustment, height adjustable front seat belts, electrochromic mirror, rear AC vents and 60:40 split rear seats.
For the first time, the Creta also gets an electric sunroof, wireless phone charger, iBlue Audio Control App, JLR-like smart key band and fitness tracker controlled by smartphone application.
Via the AutoLink Connected Car Technology, the owner can check the vehicle’s health, driving information, driving history and also avail road side assistance.
Safety kit includes a total of 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, Hill Assist Control (HAC), front seatbelt pretensioners, speed sensing auto door lock, rear parking assist system with rear view camera, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and stating bending lights.
Hyundai said that the new Creta gets a strong body structure, made with Ultra-high Strength Steel (UHSS) and Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS).
Powertrains
Powering the new Creta is a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine delivering 123 hp @ 6400 rpm and 151 Nm of torque @ 4850 rpm.
There are two diesel engines on offer, the first one is a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder CRDi delivering 90 hp @ 4000 rpm and 216 Nm of torque @ 1500 – 2750 rpm. The second diesel engine is a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder CRDi with VGT delivering 128 hp @ 4000 rpm and 260 Nm of torque @ 1500 – 3000 rpm.
The 1.6 petrol and 1.6 diesel get a choice of 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic while the 1.4 diesel comes paired with a 6-speed manual.
Hyundai said that the new Creta offers improved fuel efficiency by up to 3% in petrol and up to 4% in diesel engine.
Also, the company claims that the new Creta has class-leading NVH performance, thanks to the use of enhanced sound absorption materials, improvements to the engine, transmission and body structural parts ensuring a quieter cabin.
The NVH has been well contained to barely perceptible levels with the use of dash insulators, anti-vibration pads, sound deadener coating on the floor, optimized engine mounts, tunnel area rigidity and application of dual sealing structure on doors.
The new Creta is available with 7 exterior single tone colour options and 2 dual tone options. Additionally, two new colours have been added to the palette – Marina Blue and Passion Orange along with new Dual Tone Passion Orange and Black.
