Ford has added two new variants to the new EcoSport in India, the EcoSport S and EcoSport Signature Edition, priced at Rs 11,37,300 and Rs 10,40,400, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
EcoSport S
The EcoSport S gets black treatment on the exterior. These include smoked headlights & taillights, black fog lamp bezels, black roof & roof rails, gloss black grille and blacked-out skid plates. The S also gets a Premium Smoke 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors of the EcoSport S gets ‘Sports Orange’ treatment. Since the ‘S’ is positioned over the Titanium+ trim, it carries over all the features such as 8-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment with voice recognition, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, dual front airbags, side & curtain airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Emergency Brake Assist, Hill Launch Assist, Traction Control System and so on.
The new addition is the power slide sunroof, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and chrome rings in the instrument cluster.
The EcoSport S is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost (turbocharged) petrol engine, delivering 125 hp at 6000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque between 1500-4500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Fuel efficiency is claimed to be 18.1 km/l. Buyers can also opt for the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine.
EcoSport Signature
The EcoSport Signature is more of a package that can be added over the Titanium trim. On the exterior, it gets a gloss black grille with chrome surround, black fog lamp bezels, black roof rails, electric sunroof, rear spoiler and the ‘Signature’ decals. It also gets 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
The Signature’s interior gets blue contrast stitching and anodized blue accents. It also carries over all the features of the Titanium that includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. ESC, Emergency Brake Assist, Hill Launch Assist and Traction Control System also comes as standard for the Signature Edition.
The 1.0L EcoBoost is exclusive to the aforementioned ‘S’ variant. The Signature Edition gets the other two engines, the 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with 5-speed MT or the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel with 5-speed MT.
The Signature pack is available in Diamond White, Absolute Black, Moondust Silver and Lightning Blue exterior colors.
