Land Rover has added new engine choices and more equipment for the Range Rover Velar model year 2019.
To begin with, the 3.0L V6 turbo diesel is now offered in a slightly lesser state of tune. The D275, as the name suggests delivers 275 PS and 625 Nm of torque. Another engine joining the list is a P340, a 3.0L V6 supercharged petrol, delivering 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque.
Joining the specifications list is Kvadrat premium textile seat, available across the range. Joining the suite of driver assistance systems is Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist that operates between 0-180 km/h, and uses the existing Adaptive Cruise Control functionality with Lane Centering to steer the vehicle within its lane as it maintains a set distance from the vehicle in front.
Other features include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and radar-based High-Speed Emergency Braking system that works between 10-160 km/h.
Rear Camera, Front and Rear Parking Aids, Driver Condition Monitor, Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist are now fitted as standard.
Adaptive Dynamics is now optionally available on a number of models throughout the range. By monitoring wheel movement 500 times per second, and body movements 100 times per second, the system continuously varies the damping forces at all four corners of vehicle.
The Velar is offered with coil springs as standard with four-corner air suspension now an option on all models with V6 engines.
Furthermore, the petrol variants now get a larger 82 litre fuel tank (up from 63 litres). The models with larger tank are 380 PS 3.0-litre V6 supercharged, new 340 PS 3.0-litre V6 supercharged, 300 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium and the 250 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium engine.
The MY2019 Range Rover Velar is available to order now with a starting price of £44,735.
