According to a discounts and offers list compiled by mycarhelpline, Renault dealerships are offering discounts of up to Rs 1.25 lakh on the Captur to clear MY 2017 stock.
The Captur has been in the international markets since 2013, but was introduced in India in November 2017. There are two versions of the Captur, one based on the Clio platform and the other on the Duster platform. It’s the latter which is sold in the Indian, Russian and the Brazilian markets.
The discounts seem to be true as there are barely any Captur SUVs to be seen on the roads while the Jeep Compass is everywhere and according to FCA India, has sold close to 20,000 units so far.
The company recently conducted “Renault Captur Blogger Meet” which involved digital influencers.
Other than the design and styling, the Captur doesn’t offer anything more significant than the Duster and perhaps, the customers are seeing the latter as a better overall package. Recently, the company slashed Duster prices by up to Rs 1 lakh.
