Jaguar Land Rover India has introduced a new 2.0L petrol engine from the Ingenium family to the XE and XF sedans, with prices starting at Rs 35.99 lakh and Rs 49.80 lakh, respectively. All prices ex-showroom, Pan India.

The new 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol in ‘Pure’ and ‘Prestige’ trims produces 147 kW (197 hp) @ 4,500-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,500-4,000 rpm. In the top-spec ‘Portfolio’, it delivers 184 kW (247 hp) @ 5,500 rpm and 365 Nm of torque @ 1,500 rpm.
The engine has all-aluminium construction and deploys twin scroll turbocharger to reduce lag. Also, the Continuously Variable Valve Lift technology improves air delivery to both engines. According to the company, this patented technology provides fully variable control of the intake valve lift for optimum efficiency, power and torque across the rev range.
Transmission sends power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic with Jaguar Sequential Shift. The cars feature All Surface Progress Control for added confidence in slippery conditions.
