India Yamaha Motor has launched the new MT-09 naked motorcycle at Rs 10,88,122 ex-showroom, Delhi. The bike is imported to India as a CBU.
The MT-09 has been built on a CF (Controlled Filling) aluminium die-cast frame, which helps keep the overall wet weight down to just 193 kg. Features include twin-eye headlamps comprising of 4 LED lamps, LED strips, 3D LED tail lamp, swingarm-mounted rear fender, 3-into-1 exhaust system, Traction Control System with two modes, and a better seat.
Powering the bike is a 847 cc 3-cylinder liquid cooled engine, producing 115 PS @ 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm of torque @ 8,500 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Braking duties are handled by 298 mm dual discs at front and 245 mm single disc at the rear. The rear suspension is an almost horizontal monocross.
The bike can be had in 3 colors – Bluish Gray Solid, Matte Dark Gray and Deep Purplish Blue.
