India Kawasaki Motors has launched the Ninja 650 KRT at Rs 5.49 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. The bike comes with Kawasaki Racing Team-inspired colour and graphics package.
Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors said “The Ninja 650 KRT edition has done remarkably well in the USA, Europe and in other countries recently. We have got a good pool of Ninja 650 customers here in India as well. Those who were planning to buy Ninja 650, now have got another option with this new edition.”
As the name suggests, the bike is powered by a 649 cc 4-stroke parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that powers Kawasaki’s other 650 products as well. Here, the engine makes 68 PS @ 8,500 rpm and 65.7 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The front suspension is a 41 mm telescopic fork while the rear is a Horizontal Back-link with adjustable preload. Braking duties are handled by dual 300 mm discs with 2-piston calipers while the rear is a single 220 mm disc with single piston caliper.
