Harley-Davidson has launched the 2018 Softail range in India, with prices starting at Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The range consists of Street Bob, Fat Bob, Fat Boy and Heritage Classic.
Street Bob
Price: Rs 11.99 lakh ex-Delhi. Weight: 286 kg. Torque: 144 Nm.
Fat Bob
Price: Rs 13.99 lakh ex-Delhi. Weight: 296 kg. Torque: 145 Nm.
Fat Boy
Price: Rs 17.49 lakh ex-Delhi. Weight: 304 kg. Torque: 144 Nm.
Heritage Classic
Price: Rs 18.99 lakh ex-Delhi. Weight: 316 kg. Torque: 144 Nm.
The new bikes get a lighter, stiffer chassis compared to previous models, the company said. Overall, the new Softail models weigh up to 17 kg less than before.
All bikes are powered by Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine. The 1,745 cc V-Twin unit uses 4 valves per cylinder, hence the name ‘Eight’. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, the engine’s output varies from model to model. The engine has counter balancers for less vibrations.
