Mahindra has added a new W9 variant to its popular XUV500 SUV, priced at Rs 15.45 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The new variant sits between W6 and W10, and gets some aspirational features.
The W9 gets electric sunroof with anti-pinch, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, Android Auto, Ecosense technology, emergency call, reverse camera with dynamic assist, static bending headlamps, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with rollover mitigation, push button start, passive keyless entry, and tyre-tronics.
The W9 variant is available both in 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The vehicle is powered by a 2179 cc diesel engine with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), producing 140 hp @ 3750 rpm and 330 Nm of torque @ 1600 – 2800 rpm. W9 is available only in front wheel drive configuration.
“Since its launch in 2011, the XUV500 has been a pioneer in providing innovative hi-tech features that are not available even in vehicles that are almost double its price.” said Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing.
