VW Group owned design agency Italdesign has announced that all five units of its first car Zerouno has been sold out. The chassis No. 002 will be displayed at Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California, on August 20.
Introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Zerouno features naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 which is also shared with the Huracan and Audi R8, producing 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque. Transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, sending power to the all four wheels. Claimed performance figures are 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and top speed of 330 km/h.
“Having sold all five Zerouno is the result of a great team work”, said Filippo Perini, Head of Innovation Design.
Prior to Zerouno, Perini has worked on Gallardo, Huracan, Aventador, and several Alfa Romeos.
“It shows we are on a promising way with our new brand for Ultra-Limited Series Production. We are currently looking into the possibility to build a roadster version and we are in dialogue with customers worldwide to truly materialize their wishes into it.” He added.
“The Ultra-Limited Series Production is an important service we integrated in our service portfolio. Its composed by a fully integrated approach from Design, Engineering and Production for small volume series vehicles, in a turnkey competence. We wanted to demonstrate with the Zerouno project that we are listening to our customers and what Italdesign is capable to do. Of course we’re open to provide this very same service all car manufacturers worldwide”, CEO Jörg Astalosch stated.
