When the Baleno was launched back in 2015, automatic was offered only in Delta variant, and later in 2016, Zeta too got an automatic option. Now Maruti has added the top end Alpha to this list, priced at Rs 8.34 lakh, ex-Delhi.
As before, its only the petrol engines which get a CVT automatic option. The petrol is a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder unit, with an output of 83 hp @ 6000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm.
The Alpha variant packs features such as projector headlamps with LED DRLs, auto AC, push button start, Multi information TFT color display, SmartPlay infotainment system with navigation and Apple CarPlay, reversing camera and so on.
Dual front airbags, ABS + EBD, front seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters are offered as standard across all variants.
