Nissan’s low cost brand Datsun has started pre-launch bookings for the redi-GO 1.0L, for a fully refundable down payment of Rs 10,000 at Nissan and Datsun dealerships. Deliveries will commence from July 26, 2017.
The redi-GO was launched a year ago with 800 cc engine, and a ‘Sport’ variant was launched later in 2016 as well. Datsun manages to move a decent no. of units every month, which is why the company is gearing up to launch the 1.0 variant. Speaking of which, the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder Intelligent Spark Automated Technology (iSAT) engine will most likely produce the same output as the Kwid 1.0, 67 hp and 91 Nm of torque. Transmission will be a 5-speed manual.
The hatchback offers a ground clearance of 185 mm and high seating position. More details about the redi GO 1.0L are available on the ‘Datsun India App’ which can be downloaded from Google Play store.
