The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is one of those all-electric models that has the selling power to convince a non-EV person. It looks absolutely stunning with its Porsche-esque retro styling. But for some reason, Hyundai decided to give the car a facelift in less than 3 years of its global debut. If you’re in Korea, you might be able to catch a glimpse of the new Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 6 N Line at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show.
There are some significant styling revisions on the front and rear fascias. On the front, the main headlights are cleverly concealed within the bumper, while the upper “Parametric Pixel” lines are simply DRLs/turn signals. The N Line has a sportier bumper design. At the rear, Hyundai has let go of the Porsche 930-like upper spoiler, most likely for a cleaner design. Hyundai claims that the styling revisions are inspired by RN22e’s design, but I’m having trouble buying that explanation. I still prefer the looks of RN22e.
Hyundai didn’t bother sharing if there are any changes under the skin, but it doesn’t seem like there are any. However, we may have to wait until July to get more details.
Under the evolved design concept of ‘Pure Flow, Refined’, we’ve enhanced every line and detail to make Ioniq 6 simpler and more progressive. – Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center
Inside, changes aren’t significant, but according to Hyundai, there’s a greater focus on a more comfortable and intuitive user experience. There’s a redesigned steering wheel, ergonomically optimized centre console, enlarged climate control display, and of course, enhanced door trim materials for a more premium feel.
