Tata Curvv and Curvv EV debut with an extraVagant styling

Who wouldn’t want an extra v in their life? 😉

That’s right, the production version of the Tata Curvv concept is now (almost) ready to hit the showrooms. I’m saying almost, because, Tata Motors is not fully done with the foreplay, since we don’t have much details to share currently. However, the market launch is scheduled for next month (7th Aug), so, just a few more days to wait I guess. Some of you might remember that a pre-production prototype was showcased at the ‘Bharat Mobility Global Expo’ earlier this year, and what we are seeing today is essentially a confirmation of the product launch.

The Tata Curvv is gonna be available in both ICE-powered and EV (Curvv.ev) variants. In case you haven’t figured it out already, the Curvv and Curvv.ev are nothing but coupe-SUV versions of the Nexon and Nexon.ev. While the front fascia is almost identical, the rear-end features a different taillight design. There’s no Y-split like you see in the Nexon siblings. And yes, the front and rear light strips perform welcome animations. Watch the video below:

Also, notice that the production version has flush-fit door handles, as opposed to pull-type in the Nexon models. As for the exterior color choices, these curvaceous SUVs will offer multiple shades, but two new colors join the palette: Virtual Sunrise for the Curvv.ev and Gold Essence for the ICE-powered variant.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of these coupe-SUVs, and certainly, the design of the Curvv is yet to grow on me, but I understand that a lot of you might like this already. Is it just me or the rear-end is lifted way too high? But anyway, Tata Motors shared next to nothing about these two products, but if you look at the Nexon siblings, the specifications aren’t very hard to guess. Then what was the point of today’s reveal/unveil you ask? Well, they gotta stay in the news, don’t they?

The ICE version of the Curvv is gonna be available in both petrol and diesel – as is the case with the Nexon. As for the Curvv.ev, it will most likely be offered in standard and long-range variants, both matching the specifications of the Nexon.ev.
