That’s right, MG Motor India has launched the Gloster Blackstorm Advanced Gloster Blackstorm, with prices starting at INR 40.30 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Available variants:
Variants | ex-Delhi price (INR) |
Blackstorm 6-seater 2WD | 40,29,800 |
Blackstorm 7-seater 2WD | 40,29,800 |
Blackstorm 6-seater 4WD | 43,07,800 |
Blackstorm 7-seater 4WD | 43,07,800 |
So, what’s all the hoopla? Well, as the name suggests, the Blackstorm is mostly about painting the vehicle black, with flashes of red, of course. The red accents can be found on the lower part of the bumpers, on the mirror caps, and on the door cladding as well. The lights also have a smoked effect. We don’t have a picture of the interior just yet, but you can expect the same dark theme with flashes of red.
The so-called Advanced Gloster also boasts an ADAS suite that includes:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Automatic Parking Assist
- Forward Collision Warning
- Lane Departure Warning
- Blind Spot Detection
- Door Open Warning
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Lane Change Assist
- Driver Fatigue Reminder System
Nothing else changes, of course. The Gloster is available either with a 120 kW (163 metric hp) 2.0L turbo diesel engine or a 160 kW (218 metric hp) 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine. Both are coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox; the biturbo variant is 4WD and comes with a BorgWarner transfer case.
