You probably remember seeing the 2023 Hyundai Elantra facelift last month. Well, now it’s time for the hot š„ version to show up, and it showed up at the 2023 Auto Shanghai in China. The new Elantra N is scheduled to go on saleĀ in China in the second half of this year, followed most likely by Europe, Korea and other markets. Again, Hyundai didn’t bother sharing full details, but let’s talk a bit about what’s available.
Speaking of which, it appears that it’s just the design we get to talk about at the moment. Of course, the new Elantra N builds on the regular Elantra facelift with N-typical sporty bumpersĀ and black elements. There’s also what appears to be a gloss black fixed rear wing, and, upping the oomph factor is a red pinstriping at the bottom of the car.
The petal-shaped wheels look pretty sweet too; they’re wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. The outgoing Elantra N boastsāamong other thingsāECS orĀ Electronic Controlled Suspension that debuted with theĀ Kona NĀ in 2021.
The 206 kW (280 metric hp/276 bhp) 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine will likely continue in the 2023Ā Elantra N facelift, as would beĀ 8-speed wet DCT and 6-speed manual transmission options. However, don’t be surprised if there are any changes in the engine’s output figures.
