Skoda India has added the Kushaq Onyx Edition to its portfolio, priced at INR 12,39,000, ex-showroom, PAN India. Unlike the Kushaq Monte Carlo—which is sort of the range-topping model with spicier looks, the Kushaq Onyx Edition builds on the base Active trim; in fact, it slots between Active and Ambition trims.
On the exterior, it gets crinkled-up aluminium foil-like decals on the doors. As for the equipment list, it gets Crystalline LED headlights (which are not available on the base Active trim). You’re not getting alloy wheels here, but Skoda is giving you ‘Tecton’ wheel covers for those 16-inch black-painted steel wheels. And finally, the B-pillar has been decorated with the ‘ONYX’ badge, of course.
On the inside, you’re getting ONYX-branded door sills; ONYX Design perforated leatherette seats with fabric inserts; ONYX-branded floor mats, and ONYX-branded memory foam cushions. As for other features, you get a 7-inch infotainment, and auto AC with Air Care function (not available in the regular Active trim). You also get a rear wiper and defogger—which are not available in the regular Active trim.
The Kushaq Onyx Edition is available only with the 85 kW (115.5 metric hp) 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
