Mahindra has announced the prices of its Nexon EV rival, the XUV400, which start at INR 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan India. Bookings will commence from January 26, 2023, and do note that the launch prices are “introductory” and are applicable to the first 5,000 bookings of each variant.

For those wondering, ‘MIDC’ stands for Modified Indian Driving Cycle; it is the Indian equivalent of international standards such as the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) and World Harmonized Light-duty Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).
As mentioned, the XUV400 is available in two trims: EC and EL. Key features of the base model include LED taillights, 16-inch steel wheels, rear disc brakes, electrically adjustable ORVMs, fabric seat upholstery, 60:40 split rear seat backrest, connected car tech, and two front airbags. The EL boasts 16-inch Diamond-cut alloy wheels, projector headlights, LED running lights, an electric sunroof, roof rails, electrically adjustable + foldable ORVMs, leatherette seat upholstery, a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity, a rearview camera, connected car tech + smartwatch connectivity, and 6 airbags. Dual-tone paint options are also exclusive to the EL trim.
The XUV400 packs a single front electric motor that develops 110 kW (150 metric hp) and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft) of torque. Read more here.
