Kia Stinger bids goodbye with the Tribute Edition

Kia Stinger.. the hot sedan which led the brand’s transformation in late 2017, is all set to bid goodbye with the Stinger Tribute Edition—limited to 1,000 units worldwide. Blessed by German veterans Peter Schreyer and Albert Biermann, the Stinger was nothing like the Kias the people had seen before, but as that old cliché goes, all good things must come to an end.

The 3.3L biturbo V6-powered Stinger GT forms the base of this Stinger Tribute Edition. For the exterior, buyers can opt for the existing Ascot Green paint or a new Moonscape Matte Gray paint, complemented with black elements such as mirror caps, Brembo calipers and 19-inch wheels.

For the cabin, the seats and door panels are upholstered in Terracotta brown leather; the brown is also used as a contrast stitching color on the steering wheel. The centre console and door pull surround feature a faux carbon fibre finish. We don’t have the photo of this yet, the headrests feature a new wasp-shaped emblem. There’ll also be a numbered door sill, of course.

No other changes. The aforementioned 3.3L biturbo V6 pumps out 274 kW (373 metric hp) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque, coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox driving the rear wheels (AWD optional).
