China’s BYD Auto has launched the Atto 3 electric SUV in India, priced at INR 33.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan India. The company claims to have received close to 1,500 bookings ever since the bookings began on October 11, 2022. The Atto 3 is available in 4 colors: Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue. BYD aims to commence deliveries of the first batch in January 2023.
At present, BYD has 13 authorized retailers operating 19 showrooms across India. The company plans to open 24 showrooms across 21 cities in India by the end of this year and aims to expand to at least 53 showrooms by the end of 2023.
The Atto 3 comes with a 7 kW home charger and its installation service, a 3 kW portable charging box, a 3-year free 4G Data subscription, 6-year roadside assistance, and 6 free maintenance services. As for the warranty, BYD is offering 8 years or 1.6 lakh km (whichever is earlier) for the traction battery, 8 years or 1.5 lakh km (whichever is earlier) for the motor & the motor controller, and 6 years or 1.5 lakh km (again, whichever is earlier) for the vehicle itself.
