Lotus has revealed some more information on the Eletre—which debuted earlier this year as the world’s first “electric hyper-SUV”. The Eletre is gonna come in three flavors: Eletre, Eletre S and Eletre R. UK prices are gonna start from £89,500, while it’s gonna be €95,990 for the rest of the Europeans. Lotus says that the customer deliveries will begin in 2023, although it’s unclear which month in 2023. But in the meantime, let’s take a look at the two more variants.

Variant GBP
Eletre £89,500
Eletre S £104,500
Eletre R £120,000

The base model itself comes fully loaded with everything you could possibly want, of course, including Matrix LED headlamps; 22-inch forged alloy wheels; active aero elements; four-zone climate control; 12-way adjustable front seats; 15.1-inch OLED central screen; a 15-speaker KEF premium audio system; active air suspension; ADAS stuff, and more. But the higher-end models add even more. The Eletre S, for example, adds a gloss black aluminium roof with roof rails; an active rear spoiler; soft close doors; configurable ambient lighting, and a 23-speaker KEF premium audio system. The Eletre R wears a black pack on the outside, while the 22-inch 10-spoke gloss black forged alloy wheels are wrapped with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres. But the Eletre R is more about performance; it’s about horsepower and torque, so it goes back to a 15-speaker KEF premium audio system and not 23 (though optionally available).

All three Eletre models come with a dual-motor AWD powertrain, but the Eletre R gets a 2-speed transmission as opposed to a 1-speed transmission in the other two variants. In the Eletre and Eletre S, the motors offer 450 kW (612 metric hp) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of combined figures. In the Eletre R, those figures are bumped to 675 kW (918 metric hp) and 985 Nm (726 lb-ft). The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 2.95 seconds, which is gonna be 4.5 in the other two variants. All three models get an 800-volt, 112 kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer a WLTP range of up to 600 km (373 mi) in the Eletre and Eletre S and 490 km (304 mi) in the Eletre R. And, do note that the no-cost 20-inch wheels are gonna give you the highest range. The Eletre R also gets an additional drive mode and Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack (includes Active Rear Wheel Steering and Lotus Intelligent Anti Roll Control).
