The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a chic-looking vehicle right off the bat, so much so that it’ll look contemporary even after a decade or two, thanks to its retro-mixed styling. How can you make something that already looks stunning, more stunner? According to Hyundai, it is by offering a limited edition model. It’s called the Ioniq 6 First Edition, and it is limited to 2,500 units, exclusive to the European markets. More specifically, it’ll be available in Germany, the UK, France, Norway, and the Netherlands.
The exterior of this so-called “electrified streamliner” will be available in four paint options: Biophilic Blue Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Gravity Gold Matte and Nocturne Grey Pearl. No matter which paint option you choose, the 20-inch alloy wheels are gonna be finished in matte black. Elements on the front & rear bumpers; rocker panels, mirror caps, and Porsche 930-like rear spoiler, are all gonna be in gloss black. The Hyundai badges are gonna be in black aluminium.
The dark-themed interior features a black headliner; seats upholstered in a combo of leather and cloth with the latter in a chequered pattern called Grey Tartan (reminds me of VW GT models/Skoda Monte Carlo), and Grey Tartan First Edition floor mats made with recycled nylon from the ocean and landfill waste.
Pre-orders will commence online at the official Hyundai websites of the aforementioned markets, at 10:00 CET on 9 November 2022. Deliveries are expected to commence between March and April 2023.
