Toyota has now Gazooed-up the RAV4 Hybrid models for the European markets. Scheduled to go on sale in Q4 2022, the RAV4 GR Sport is available in both hybrid electric and plug-in hybrid electric versions.
On the exterior, the RAV4 GR Sport sports additional dark elements compared with the regular models. You got piano black wheel arch inserts, side mouldings and tailgate garnish. On the front fascia, you got more prominent fog light bezels with the same black G-mesh pattern as the grille, and new front spoilers—finished in dark silver on the hybrid model and gunmetal grey on the plug-in hybrid. Also, the RAV4 GR Sport is the first Toyota model to feature alloy wheels finished using a new line-cutting technique. The 19-inch rims, fitted as standard, have a gloss black finish with fine bright machined pinstripe detailing.
Inside, the sporty seats are finished in suede-effect upholstery with synthetic leather bolsters. The headrests feature an embossed GR logo. The silver contrast stitching can be found on the seats, steering wheel and shift lever. The door panels and steering wheel feature gunmetal accents. In addition to the steering wheel, the floor mats are also GR-branded. A 10.5-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch driver display are standard inclusions.
It’s not all visual enhancements. The RAV4 GR Sport models come with a sporty suspension setup with new stiffer springs that are claimed to offer a more engaging driving experience.
