The third-gen Peugeot 308 lineup will be joined by E-308 and E-308 SW (station wagon) all-electric variants in mid-2023. Order books are yet to open in Europe, but Peugeot wants to let you know that the models will be available in Allure and GT trim levels.
The E-308 and E-308 SW models will have all the design elements of the ICE- and hybrid-powered models, including the fang-shaped light signatures, Matrix LED headlights and three-claw LED taillights. The 18-inch aluminium wheels are said to be specifically developed for the all-electric versions in order to maximize aerodynamic efficiency.
Both E-308 and E-308 SW are gonna be front-wheel-drive models, powered by a single motor at the front, developing 115 kW (156 metric hp) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. A 54 kWh (51 kWh usable) NMC battery pack (80% Nickel, 10% Manganese, 10% Cobalt) operating at 400 volts is estimated to deliver a WLTP range of over 400 km (248+ mi).
A 11 kW onboard charger comes standard. And, if you can find a 100 kW DC fast-charger, 20% to 80% SoC is claimed to be possible in less than 25 minutes.
Some of the other key features include a heated steering wheel, a 3D head-up display, and a 10-inch central touchscreen.
