After launching the i20 N Line a year ago, Hyundai India has now launched the Venue N Line in the country, with prices starting at INR 12.16 lakh for the N6 trim and INR 13.15 lakh for the N8 trim; the prices are, of course, ex-showroom.
It’s a similar exercise here, as you can probably guess. On the exterior, the Venue N Line tries to look more sporty compared with the regular turbo petrol Venue upon which this is based. It has got sporty bumpers with subtle red accents; a darker front grille; twin tailpipes at the rear; a larger roof spoiler, and model-specific 16-inch alloy wheels with N branding.
As for paint, you got two mono and three dual-tone options: Polar White, Shadow Grey, Thunder Blue with Phantom Black roof, Shadow Grey with Phantom Black roof, and Polar White with Phantom Black roof.
Inside, you get an all-black theme with contrast red accents and stitching, of course. The seats, the steering wheel and the shift lever get N branding. You also get red ambient lighting and metal pedals.
Is it all branding then? Well, the N Line models are mostly that compared with the N models which are actually the hot ones with more power and more everything. However, Hyundai claims that the N Line features sporty suspension tuning as well, which means you’ve to drive both regular and this one back to back in order to notice any difference. Another key difference worth noting is that the Venue N Line has got disc brakes at all four corners.
But anyway, the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol unit pumps out the same 88 kW (120 metric hp) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque. The engine comes paired only with a 7-speed DCT; no manual option for true enthusiasts. Download the brochure here.
