Moving on to the juicy bits of the story, the Scorpio-N offers petrol and diesel powertrain options. For petrol buyers, the SUV offers a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged mStallion unit, producing 149.14 kW (203 metric hp) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque when paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. But if you pick the 6-speed torque converter automatic, you’ll get 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) more.
Diesel buyers have three options actually. The engine is gonna be a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged mHawk unit that offers 97 kW (132 metric hp) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft). If you want more, you can opt for a powerful version with 128.6 kW (175 metric hp) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft), and if you choose the aforementioned automatic gearbox, you’ll get 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) more.
The 4WD models boast low and high modes, Terrain Modes (Normal, Snow, Mud & Ruts, Sand), and locking differentials.
