Mercedes-Benz has launched the 5th-gen C-Class (W206) in India, with prices starting at INR 55,00,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. The compact executive saloon is available in both petrol and diesel variants:

The 5th-gen C-Class made its global debut in Feb 2021 with S-Class-inspired styling and onboard features. Key features for the Indian market include 17-inch light-alloy wheels (18-inch with AMG Line pack), LED headlights (Digital Light available on C 300d), panoramic sliding sunroof, a 12.3-inch driver display, a 11.9-inch central touchscreen, Natural Voice Control, electrically adjustable front seats with memory package, auto AC, Burmester 3D surround sound system (available on C 300d), and safety systems such as Pre-Safe, Active Brake Assist, Active Park Assist and TPMS. The C 200 is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 150 kW (204 metric hp) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. The C 220d packs a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 147 kW (200 metric hp) and 440 Nm (324.5 lb-ft) of torque. The C 300d packs the same diesel engine but the output figures here are 195 kW (265 metric hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. All these models are equipped with EQ Boost mild-hybrid system that offers an additional 15 kW (20.4 metric hp) and 200 Nm (147.5 lb-ft) of boost. Both engines are coupled with a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
