Along with the Wagoneer L models, Jeep is showcasing the Grand Cherokee High Altitude 4xe at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. It is painted in a new Hydro Blue Pearl Coat exterior color, available to order in the second half of 2022.
The High Altitude is actually a package—available on Summit 4xe and Summit Reserve 4xe trims, costing an additional $1,495 and $995, respectively. The package adds gloss-black elements such as the grille, 21-inch aluminum wheels, roof rails, and of course, badging as well. As for the aforementioned Hydro Blue dual-tone paint, it’s a $395 option—available on Trailhawk, Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve trims, on both two-row and three-row models.
The Grand Cherokee 4xe, as you might know, is a plug-in hybrid model, combining a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, two electric motors, a 17 kWh 400-volt battery pack, and TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, offering combined figures of 280 kW (381 metric hp) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. It is also claimed to do 25 miles (40 km) of all-electric range.
