Pune-based Pinnacle Mobility Solutions has unveiled a new electric bus under the EKA Mobility brand. Named EKA E9, the 9.2 metre long electric bus offers seating for up to 31 people (excluding driver) and space for a wheelchair.
Key features of the EKA E9 include steel monocoque chassis, front & rear air suspension, a wheelchair ramp, and AC with demister and bacterial filtration system. Safety features include disc brakes at all four corners, 4 cameras, an emergency stop button, and a fire extinguisher.

Pinnacle is yet to share full technical information on the EKA E9. However, it has shared a few things including the motor’s output figures: 200 kW (272 metric hp) and 2,500 Nm (1,844 lb-ft) of torque, a top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph), 17% gradeability, and CCS2 fast-charging.
The battery pack capacity is also kind of a secret at the moment, but replying to an email, a spokesperson said that the bus has two lithium-ion packs that offer a range of up to 200 km (124 mi) on a single charge. Price? Ranges between INR 1,00,00,000 and 1,10,00,000.
