Volkswagen India has commenced production of the Virtus sedan at the Group’s facility in Chakan, Pune, ahead of its expected launch in May 2022. Pre-bookings have commenced and the sedan is expected to be on display at most dealerships in a couple of weeks from now.
For the uninitiated, the Virtus is the cousin of the Skoda Slavia that has been fairly well received in the market; I mean, the bookings. The Virtus will be available in two trims: Dynamic Line and a GT-badged Performance Line. The 150 metric hp 1.5L TSI 4-cylinder petrol engine is exclusive to the GT model.
