Mercedes updated the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé last year but the models included only the GT 43 4Matic+ and the GT 53 4Matic+. Now though, it’s time for the 63 models. Prices in Germany start at €158,162.90 for the AMG GT 63 4Matic+ and €175,179.90 for the AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+.
So, what’s new for 2022? Well, good question, indeed. But you do get a sportier front bumper compared with the original GT 63 4-door models, and at the rear, you have trapezoidal tailpipes as opposed to circular ones in the original. Two new exterior body colors Spectral Blue metallic and Spectral Blue magno join the palette, while there’s a €21,777 special edition that offers AMG green light magno paint, in addition to AMG Night Package content, 21-inch AMG forged wheels, exclusive Nappa leather upholstery in grey/black, and some more.
There are no other changes; you get AMG Ride Control+ suspension as standard, which can adjust damping force for each wheel depending on the driving conditions in just a few milliseconds. And apparently, AMG developers were able to significantly increase the spread between sportiness and comfort (modes).
The 4.0L V8 biturbo motor offers the same 430 kW (585 metric hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, which in the S model jump to 470 kW (639 metric hp) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). The GT 63 S 4Matic+ also boasts a drift mode.
