Honda has launched the third-gen HR-V in Indonesia, and it’s not the petrol-electric hybrid variant that went on sale in Japan. Instead, Indonesians are getting conventional petrol variants which include a sporty HR-V RS. Prices start at RP 355,900,000 (INR 18.90 lakh or US$ 24,772).
Variant | Price (RP) |
S | 355,900,000 |
E | 379,900,000 |
SE | 399,900,000 |
Turbo RS | 499,900,000 |
The HR-V RS sports a sporty body kit combined with a dual-tone paint scheme; notice the oval tailpipe finishers as well. Besides red-black dual-tone, a sand khaki-black dual-tone finish is also available on the RS. Full LED headlights with dynamic turn signals; LED front fog lights, auto-folding ORVMs, and 18-inch sporty alloy wheels are some of the key exterior features.
Key features inside include an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch driver display, red contrast stitching, and the Honda Sensing suite of ADAS which is standard across all trims.
As for the powertrain options, there’s a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with 89 kW (121 metric hp) and 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) of torque, while the RS packs a turbocharged 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, the same one from the Civic, tuned to produce 130 kW (177 metric hp) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. Both engines are paired with a CVT, driving the front wheels.
