Lexus has launched the second-gen NX in India, with prices starting at INR 64.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan India. The compact luxury crossover is available only with a petrol-electric hybrid (HEV) powertrain in India, and in three trims:

The new NX made its global debut in June last year as the brand’s first-ever PHEV, but India is not getting the PHEV variant, not at least at launch.
But anyway, key features for the Indian market depending on the trim include Bi-Beam LED headlights, LED taillights, LED front & rear fog lights, a sunroof, 20-inch wheels, 8-way power-adjustable front seats with memory for the driver’s, auto AC, a 14-inch central touchscreen, 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, and Adaptive Variable Suspension system.
Safety and assistance systems include Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Rear Crossing Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitor System, TPMS, and more. Passive safety includes 8 airbags.
The HEV powertrain combines a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors (one at the rear) for a combined output of 179 kW (243 metric hp). Transmission is an eCVT. Official performance figures are 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). Download the brochure here.
