Skoda India claimed that the Kodiaq facelift is sold out for 2022—in just 20 days of its launch. The facelifted crossover was launched in the country on Jan 10, 2022. Unlike models such as Rapid, Kushaq, Octavia and the yet-to-be-launched Slavia which are manufactured at the company’s Aurangabad facility, the Kodiaq was imported into the country as completely knocked-down (CKD) kits and assembled at the aforementioned facility.
What an exhilarating start to 2022. The SUV that has it all has won over India – in just 20 days!
Thank you so much for the ❤️

For fairly obvious reasons, Skoda didn’t share exactly how many units it imported and sold. And remember, the sale here actually refers to wholesales, meaning sale to dealers. It’s now up to the dealers to actually make the Kodiaq “sold out”.
It is also unclear if this “sold out” is simply an age-old marketing strategy that MG used for Hector a couple of years ago. Either way, you gotta do what you gotta do to make do with what’s available.
