Mercedes may never build a G-Class-based pickup again, but don’t let that spoil your mood because Brabus has got you covered, again. The German tuner has revealed the AMG G 63-based 800 Adventure XLP Superblack. The idea is pretty much the same as the 800 Adventure XLP we saw in 2020, but now a lot more expensive, with prices starting at €725,900 (including VAT in Germany).
As mentioned, the formula is the same as before, with extensive chassis modifications including 50 cm additional wheelbase—due to positioning of the rear suspension mounts further aft. The portal axles are mounted with specially designed 22-inch wheels—wrapped with Pirelli Scorpion all-terrain tires. The 800 Adventure XLP Superblack wears pretty much the same amount of carbon fibre as before (maybe a bit more), but as the name suggests, the truck is now black inside and out.
The powertrain also has the same formula as before. The 4.0L V8’s production turbos are replaced with Brabus’ high-performance turbos, which when combined with PowerXtra plug-and-play module and a high-performance exhaust system, offer 588 kW (800 hp) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of peak torque.
