Ferrari has revealed its latest one-off which is simply called the ‘BR20’. While we don’t know what the BR in the name stands for, we do know that the BR20 is based on the now-discontinued GTC4Lusso. That’s right, apparently, this Ferrari VIP missed that shooting brake pretty bad. But I guess that’s the advantage of being a Ferrari VIP, isn’t it? You can commission a bespoke one-off for yourself.
The BR20 looks nothing like its donor car; unless told, one would assume that it is based on the 812 Superfast. Ferrari claims to have infused styling cues from some of its iconic 12-cylinder cars in the past, such as the 410 SA and 500 Superfast. Notice how the air outlet insert on the front fender extends and becomes a side sill/rocker panel. Also, notice that there’s an air inlet over the rear haunches, creating a modern take on the “flying buttress”. The diffuser features active flaps underneath, and the twin round exhaust tips were specifically created for this bespoke model—as are the 20-inch diamond-finished wheels. The front fascia with new headlights and a wider grille also make the car look significantly different; the headlights are slightly smaller, making the bonnet seem longer. Overall, the BR20 is longer by 3-inch compared with the GTC4Lusso.
The cockpit is trimmed in two shades of brown leather and carbon fibre bits. The seats are upholstered in a dark brown Heritage Testa di Moro leather with silver cross-stitching for contrast. Notice that the rear seats have been deleted in favour of an ultra-sleek fastback roofline. Oak trim with carbon fibre inserts adorns the rear bench and luggage deck, which conceals a deeper loading area when folded flat.
Ferrari didn’t share the technical specifications, which means the BR20 most likely packs a 690 metric hp 6.3L naturally aspirated V12 engine.
