Ducati has globally introduced a new range-topping Streetfighter variant called the Streetfighter V4 SP, priced at £28,495 in the UK and $35,500 in the US. The new Streetfighter V4 SP according to Ducati, is “the most adrenaline-pumping naked to ever roll off the production line in Borgo Panigale.” For those who are wondering, the ‘SP’ in the name stands for Sport Production.
Highlights of the Streetfighter V4 SP include new carbon rims which are 1.4 kg (3 lbs) lighter than those on the Streetfighter V4 S, contributing to an overall weight saving of 3 kg (6.6 lbs). Which means the V4 SP’s kerb weight is 196 kg (432 lbs). Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension, Brembo Stylema R front calipers and STM EVO SBK dry clutch round off the comprehensive list of features.
The 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4 engine pumps out the same 153 kW (208 metric hp) at 13,000 rpm, but the torque of 123 Nm (91 lb-ft) arrives at 9,500 rpm—which is 2,000 rpm earlier than in the V4 S.
