Innova Crysta insecurities edition
It appears that the XUV700 is giving Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) nightmares, which I think is completely understandable. The last time I checked, the new crossover from Mahindra had received over 25,000 bookings as of October 7. And so, TKM has launched the Innova Crysta Limited Edition, hoping to draw some attention away from the XUV700. It is priced (ex-showroom) from INR 17.18 lakh for the petrol version and INR 18.99 lakh for the diesel. The prices suggest that the limited edition is probably based on the entry-level GX trim.
So, what is this limited edition all about? Well, TKM has thrown in some accessories, such as an aero kit for the exterior, a head-up display, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Air Ionizer, a 360-degree camera view, door mood lighting, and a wireless smartphone charger.
There’s not gonna be any mechanical changes, obviously. The Innova Crysta will be available with either a 166 hp 2.7L petrol engine or a 150 hp 2.4L turbo diesel engine. Depending on the trim, a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox drives the rear wheels.
An unsurprising fact is that ever since the introduction of the ‘Innova’ brand in India in 2005, TKM has sold more than 9,00,000 units.
