BMW Motorrad has launched the C 400 GT maxi-scooter in India, priced at INR 9,95,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. The scooter is being imported into the country as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can be booked at BMW Motorrad dealerships starting today. The new C 400 GT made its global debut earlier this year along with a more sporty-looking C 400 X, but the latter is not available in India yet.
Standard features include LED headlight, LED taillight, a USB charging socket, stainless steel exhaust system, 265 mm disc brakes (two at the front, single at the rear), BMW Motorrad ABS, preload adjustable swingarm, and Keyless Ride. Optional equipment includes a TFT color display, LED daytime riding light, comfort package (heated grips and heated seat), anti-theft alarm system, dual USB charging cable, windshield, and a luggage carrier.
The scooter is powered by a 350 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, developing 25 kW (34 metric hp) at 7,500 rpm and 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) of torque at 5,750 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT. BMW claims a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of over 139 km/h (86 mph).
