Hyundai India has launched the i20 N Line that was revealed a week ago. Prices start at INR 9.84 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi. The N Line is available in two trims: N6 and N8.
Trim | ex-Showroom Price (in INR) |
N6 iMT | 9.84 lakh |
N8 iMT | 10.87 lakh |
N8 DCT | 11.75 lakh |
Compared with the regular 1.0L turbo petrol DCT Asta(O)’s ex-showroom Delhi price of INR 11,25,200, the N Line N8 DCT is expensive by about INR 49,800, which doesn’t sound like a bad deal at all.
In addition to a sporty body kit with subtle red accents, the i20 N Line also gets unique 16-inch Diamond-cut alloy wheels. Buyers can choose from four monotone (Thunder Blue, Fiery Red, Titan Grey and Polar White) and two dual-tone (Thunder Blue + Phantom Black roof and Fiery Red + Phantom Black roof) exterior paint options. The N Line also boasts disc brakes at all four corners and a sportier suspension tuning.
Inside, the N Line gets a generous N branding—on the steering wheel, the gear shift lever, the seats, and of course, on the floor mats as well. There are sporty pedals too, to spice things up a touch more. The range-topping N8 trim gets red ambient lighting as well. Download the brochure here.
As for the business end of the story, the i20 N Line is powered by a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 88 kW (120 metric hp) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque. The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) or a 7-speed DCT. Since there are no changes in the output figures compared with the regular car, the N Line has been compensated with a sporty exhaust note.
