Ford is re-introducing the Splash Package on Ranger pickup for the 2022 model year, available in XLT and Lariat trims, priced at $1,495. Deliveries commence at the end of the year.
Actually, the ‘Splash’ will come in two versions: Splash Package and Splash Limited Edition. The Package will be available all model year and gets you orange grille nostrils; gloss black accents on the grille, bumper, mirror caps and fender vents; and of course, black decals. The wheels are 18-inch ones finished in matte black.
As for the Splash Limited Edition, Ford said that it’ll bring a fresh dash of color every few months in a series of one-time-only hues with just a few hundred vehicles available. It also features 18-inch matte black wheels and a unique combination of exterior and interior content and finishes. The Splash—Snow Edition kicks off the first batch.
Inside, the Splash Package gets you exclusive seats with orange contrast stitching and unique carbon grain with tuxedo stripes—leather-trimmed in Lariat. Orange contrast stitching also appears on the steering wheel, gear shifter and parking brake boot. Lariat models also get orange stitching on front and rear armrests and on the dash top as well.
The Ranger in America is powered by a 2.3L 4-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine with 201 kW (270 bhp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. Transmission is a 10-speed automatic. The 4×4 models get an Electronic-Shift-On-the-Fly (ESOF) system.
