After Nepal, Renault India commenced exports of its sub-4 metre compact SUV Kiger to South Africa. The Kiger will be exported to Indonesia, other parts of Africa and the SAARC region as well. After a long time, Renault tasted success with the Kiger in India, as did its Alliance partner Nissan with the Magnite.
At the time of publishing this story, the Kiger is yet to be launched in South Africa, but is listed on the official website as “coming soon”. In the meantime, the dealers can get their inventory ready.
With the launch of Kiger, Renault forayed into the largest and fastest-growing segment in the Indian automobile market.
