MG Motor India is determined to make its next SUV, the Astor, a big success. And so, it has signed up para-athlete Deepa Malik to be the voice of the personal AI assistant in the Astor. In case you missed the story, MG had revealed Astor’s in-car technologies just a few days ago. Read more here.
Deepa was the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games (in 2016). She has also been honored with Padma Shri (2017), the fourth-highest civilian award in India, and the Khel Ratna Award (2019), the highest sporting honor in the country. Earlier in 2019, she had joined the country’s ruling party, the BJP, just ahead of polls in her home state of Haryana.
At MG, we strive to consistently create exciting and meaningful experiences for our customers. In another first, we are introducing a personal AI assistant in Astor. Having Deepa Malik, a woman of many firsts, as a voice for Astor, is in line with our commitment to both community and diversity. Deepa is the epitome of women empowerment and her voice in Astor is a message for everyone to be unstoppable. – Rajeev Chaba, President & Managing Director, MG Motor India
