Mercedes-Benz has added the AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+ Coupé to its India portfolio, priced at INR 2.07 crore (US$ 279,185), ex-showroom, Pan India. The 63 model is for those who find the 435 hp GLE 53 to be not-so-powerful enough.
Key highlights include Multibeam LED headlights, a panoramic sliding sunroof, standard 22-inch forged alloy wheels, AMG Performance steering wheel, sports seats, massage function for front seats, MBUX system with “Hey Mercedes” voice control, Burmester surround sound system, and safety systems such as Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and side airbags for the rear passengers. The GLE 63 S 4Matic+ Coupé is powered by a 4.0-litre (3,982 cc) V8 twin-turbo petrol engine that puts out 450 kW (612 metric hp) between 5,750 and 6,500 rpm and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. There’s also a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for an additional 16 kW (22 metric hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of boost. A 9-speed torque converter automatic drives all four wheels. Official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time is 3.8 seconds and the top speed is limited to 280 km/h (174 mph).
AMG Ride Control+ suspension is standard, while the buyers can go for an Airmatic package with adaptive damping.
