As you might be aware, Mahindra is busy baking the XUV700 SUV, which is believed to be the successor of the fairly successful XUV500. As the name suggests, the XUV700 will offer seating for up to 7 people. Market launch is expected in October 2021.
If these images are real, then let’s talk a li’l bit about its styling, because Mahindra’s designers are notorious for overdoing it, and sadly, the XUV700 is no exception. The designers did a good job with the Thar, and although the vehicle looks like a copy of JK Wrangler, the design is fairly clean. But for XUV700, they have gone back to those good old days of fussy styling. And yes, those headlights might remind you of Renault Arkana or Megane.
Overall, the XUV700 looks like a Chinese knockoff of multiple cars. Anyway, Mahindra recently hired Pratap Bose as the design boss, and let’s hope to see improved designs in the future.
